The Matt Haycox Group was founded by Matt Haycox, an entrepreneur and investor who has spent over 25 years building, buying, and scaling businesses across multiple sectors. From his early ventures in financial services to building one of the UK's largest alternative lending platforms, Matt's career has been defined by one principle: capital works harder when it comes with a team.
Unlike traditional private equity firms that deploy capital and wait for returns, the MHG model is built on active involvement. When we invest, we deploy an operating team — marketing specialists, financial controllers, technology advisors, and strategic partners — to work alongside founders and management teams.
This approach was born from experience. Having built businesses from scratch, Matt understands that the difference between a good business and a great one is rarely just capital. It's the quality of the team, the speed of execution, and the ability to make the right decisions at the right time.
